THE ORIGINAL LUCKY CHENG'S
Lucky Cheng’s, the Original Drag Queen Dinner Show experience in New York City!
This New York institution opened October 1st, 1993 in the East Village and was the first restaurant in the world to feature Asian drag-queen and transgender waitstaff, bartenders, and performers. When Prince Albert of Monaco dined “a-la-drag” with us in 1994, Lucky Cheng’s was catapulted into the international limelight.
Named after a head busboy who later became co-partner, Lucky Cheng's continues to delight, entertain, and shock making it a favorite destination for celebrities and celebrants.
Many of our talented Queens have gone on to star on television and films: To Wong Foo ..., NYPD Blue, Blue Bloods, Orange Is The New Black, Sense8, Fox's Rocky Horror Picture Show, and RuPaul's Drag Race.
We are curently operating only on Friday and Saturday nights within the mega entertainment complex Stage 48 located in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen.
Located nearby NYC's Nightlife, Theater District, and Times Square, we are also surrounded by many of NYC's hotels

There is no formal dress code, but remember, you will have stiff competition from the Queens... SERIOUSLY though dress is casual neat, downtown chic.
Come dressed up, not down. NO sports/athletic wear, hoodies, work boots, plain t-shirts, baseball caps, torn jeans, loose fitting clothing, baggy pants, or flip flops.
HOW DOES THE MENU WORK?
The Drag Dinner Menu is a full course prix-fixe modeled after a mitzvah and wedding reception menu. Just tell your waitress your choice of appetizer and entree. Everyone will recieve the dessert. You can pre-order our famous chocolate shoe for that special someone (please see the Celebrations page). After everyone's orders have been taken in the room, the show can then begin as your waitress rushes off to change and join the rest of the Queens on stage. Punctuality will assure a smooth and relaxing evening. Dine, drink, and enjoy the drag show!
